Going Places Interactive Goal Setting Activity
How do you connect with the girls in a fun way while helping them be more successful during cookie activities? By taking advantage of the new Interactive Goal Program. Research has shown our cookie company, ABC, that girls and troops sell more boxes of cookies and become more engaged in the cookie program when they set goals and when parents are involved with girls in the process. This interactive electronic activity takes the research to reality in a fun way for girls and gives each girl her very own tool kit for success. The program can be found at: www.abcsmartcookies.com
Cookie Club Patch
The Going Places Interactive Online Goal Setting Activity allows for yet another great way to reach girls and build upon the Cookie Program experience. You’ll want to encourage girls in your troop to access this program at least two weeks prior to the cookie sale in order for them to begin their planning. The activity must be completed by November 5, 2009 in order to earn the patch.
Girls that access the program from a high-speed internet connection will be able to participate in the activity in 30 seconds or less. For those girls that have a dial-up connection, it will take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes to have the program ready to use. Access speed to the program will vary based on your connection. Each girl is asked to complete a goal setting and training activity. Upon completion, the girl completes a certificate with her name, e-mail address, council name and troop number in order to receive a special edition patch from Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana, Joliet Regional Service Center. Girls will receive their Going Places Patches at the same time as all other awards.
