Who Can/Should Attend Adult Training?
All training sessions are open to all registered adults. Please check ‘Who Needs What Training Course?’ for mandatory training requirements.

Who Can Attend Training for Girl Scouts 11 - 17 years old?
The Program Aide Training events are for girls who enjoy working with younger Girl Scouts. Any registered Girl Scout who has completed grade six is eligible to begin the Program Aide Core Training. The core training emphasizes: leadership skills, self-evaluation, younger girl insight, and development and practice of teaching skills. Once you have completed the core portion, you are eligible to continue with the Skills Training events where you learn and practice outdoor skills following the Leave No Trace Principles. The Leader-In-Training was created so that Girl Scouts in 10th grade and up could acquire leadership skills and gain the confidence necessary to guide a group of younger girls and also to hold future leadership positions within and outside of Girl Scouting. An overnight training session is held each year prior to the internship in a Girl Scout troop/group setting. Please email the Training Department: training@girlscoutstrailways.org for more information and registration.
