The
Program Aide Training events are for
girls who enjoy working with younger Girl Scouts. Any registered Girl Scout who has completed grade
six is eligible to begin the
Program Aide Core Training. The core training emphasizes: leadership
skills, self-evaluation, younger girl insight, and development and practice of teaching skills. Once you
have completed the core portion, you are eligible to continue with the
Skills Training events where
you learn and practice outdoor skills following the
Leave No Trace Principles.
The
Leader-In-Training was created so that Girl Scouts in 10th grade and up could acquire leadership skills
and gain the confidence necessary to guide a group of younger girls and also to hold future leadership positions
within and outside of Girl Scouting. An overnight training session is held each year prior to the internship in a
Girl Scout troop/group setting. Please email the Training Department:
