Girls are recognized for selling Girl Scout Cookies in a variety of ways. During the summer prior to each sale, the Girl Scout Cookie Task Group (GSCTG) begins meeting to determine the structure of the Cookie Program and what recognitions will be used. Each recognition, from the troop proceeds to the award items that the girls receive, is reviewed by the GSCTG to ensure that it is in line with the Program goals and appropriate for all program levels. The GSCTG is made up of volunteers who have given of their time and effort to make this program a success.
Troop Recognitions
Base Incentive: 60¢ per box of cookies
Each troop receives 60¢ per box of cookies sold regardless of the volume they sell. They may receive additional awards based on additional volumes.

Additional Awards:
Troops averaging 100 boxes per girl selling will get an additional 2¢ per box. Troops averaging 150 boxes per girl selling will get an additional 5¢ per box. Troops who reach this level will be getting the 100+ incentive as well for a total of 7¢. Troops electing the 7th - 12th grade Girl Scout Option will get an additional 5¢ per box. These troops can earn the 100+ and 150+ incentives as well. They can earn up to 12¢ if they average over 150 boxes per girl and have elected this Option.

Seller Awards

Each girl who participates in the Girl Scout Cookie Program can earn awards based on the level of her sales beginning with the first box. All girls who participate in the program receive a Participation Patch for their efforts. The Chevrons shown (above and below the Participation Patch) are available for sale at the council shop for 60¢ each. The top chevron can be purchased if your troop participates in a cookie booth outside of your initial order card sales. The bottom chevron can be purchased if your troop sets an overall goal for selling and the girls meet that goal.

Incentives 2008

For each box of cookies sold over 50, girls can earn wonderful awards from a stylish T-Shirt to a Wii. Awards are cumulative.

All girls selling 500 or more boxes of cookies will be invited to a special celebration party to be held in March, 2009.
