With a few clicks on the Girl Scouts of Trailways Council Web Site we can show you the best way to join the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls.

Contacting Trailways - Identify that you want to become a Girl Scout. If you are a girl between the ages of 5 – 17, please provide the age, school and town of attendance on the Contact Form. If you are an adult and wish to join, click on the Volunteer link to learn more about the opportunities within Girl Scouts of Trailways Council.

The appropriate staff member will contact you, directing you to the volunteers in your community that recruit, organize, and place both girl and adult members.

Look for flyers in local communities announcing local opportunities for registering your girl(s).

Volunteers begin troops and/or add to existing troops through a local Organizer. The name(s) and number(s) listed on these forms should be contacted to further your inquiry.

Scan your local papers, marquees, and bulletin boards for announcements regarding target dates to express interest in joining.

Meeting times, locations and troop finances are set in your community. Leaders are given guidelines, standards and policies, as well as training, to assist in troop development. Parental/Guardian participation in this process is vital to the volunteer leader and begins with the first meeting. The professional GSTC staff assists and supports the volunteer process. We make every effort to place girls in Girl Scouting upon request. The vital support comes from the volunteers in your community who work directly and indirectly with the girls to provide the Girl Scout Program. Consider volunteering to support the girls in your community through the Girl Scout Program.
