| Question: |
Can I get more cookies after the order cards are turned in?
| Answer: |
Yes, you can! You can get more cookies until approximately March 1, 2009. Once the initial Girl Scout shipment arrives, we order more cookies weekly to keep our cupboards stocked. If you call the Promise Center 815-723-3449, we will have your order ready for you. If you just stop in, someone can pull your order for you. If you need less than 12 boxes, the Receptionist can process your order.

| Question: |
My daughter sold the troop’s extra boxes. Can she get credit for additional
awards?
| Answer: |
Yes, she can! The Troop Cookie Chair must turn in a T-7 form for Additional Awards. This form will notify GS that your daughter sold additional cookies and the new prize level that she has attained.
| Question: |
A girl in our troop sold some gift boxes. Does she get credit towards her
awards? How? Does the troop get the profit? How?
| Answer: |
Yes and yes! When filling out the Awards Report Form you will indicate the prizes based on the actual number of boxes sold (including the gift boxes). This number will differ from the T-1 Troop Worksheet. You must notify your Service Unit Cookie Chair that the girl has sold gift boxes so that they do not “correct” your awards order.
| Question: |
Can I use one girl’s extra boxes to boost up another girl’s awards?
| Answer: |
No. Please do not adjust girls’ prizes based on the total troop sales. It is
unfair to the girl who sold the cookies to receive the same prize as someone
who did not. This is an individual effort. Consider having a booth sale; you
can invite the girls that have not achieved the level they desired to
participate and sell more cookies that way. Awards may be transferred sister to
sister.

| Question: |
One of the girls turned in her order card late. What should I do?
| Answer: |
Contact your Service Unit Cookie Chair as soon as you receive her order card. If our order has not yet been placed with the Cookie Company, we can still add the girl’s order. If our order has been placed, you will be able to pick up her cookies from the Promise Center in Joliet, after the initial delivery in January, 2009. Your Service Unit Cookie Chair will be able to help you through this process.
| Question: |
We made a mistake when we ordered our cookies, and we have two whole cases left
of each kind. What should we do?
| Answer: |
Consider having a booth sale. Contact a local grocery store or video store and ask if your troop can set up in front of their location and sell cookies. Most will allow you to do so. You might also contact other troops in your Service Unit and your Service Unit Cookie Chair. Troops frequently need additional boxes of cookies that they would be willing to take off your hands. All you have to do is fill out a Transfer of Responsibility Form.

| Question: |
We want to do a booth but are afraid of getting stuck with extra cookies. What
should we do?
| Answer: |
You can check out cookies on consignment from January 6 - February 23. You find a location for your booth sale and then notify GS that you need cookies for your booth. We will need your date(s) and how many of each type of cookie you would like to have. Any FULL, unopened cases remaining after your booth sale can be returned to the Promise Center for full credit. Cookies must be picked up the day before your sale and returned the day after your sale (or by Monday for a weekend sale). Cookies that are late and not returned by Wednesday following your sale are the responsibility of the troop.

| Question: |
How does camp dough work? What is Pokanoka Resident Camp?
| Answer: |
Girls can choose between prizes or Pokanoka Resident Camp Dough. This option reduces the amount a girl would have to pay to attend Camp Pokanoka in the summer of 2009. Girls can earn 30¢ to 35¢ per box of cookies sold toward her Pokanoka Resident Camp Fee. Simply have the parents select Option B on the Permission Form and a certificate will be prepared for them to be distributed with all the other prizes. If a girl chooses prizes, she can still earn some camp dough, but not at the same levels.
| Question: |
How does the 7th – 12th grade option work?
| Answer: |
This allows troops in these grade levels to elect an additional 5¢ per box of cookies sold by the troop rather than getting the prizes or camp dough for each selling level. The girls in the troop must make this decision together. All girls and parents must sign the election form for this option. The girls must understand that they will not receive prizes other than a Participation Patch and Level Segment.

How do the Holiday Gift Sampler Boxes work?

The girls can contact businesses, family, friends, etc. to see if they would like to purchase gift boxes. These prepackaged boxes will be shipped by Christmas. This is a great way to get cookies to out of town relatives that you cannot sell to during the normal course of the sale.

troops, Girl Scout Councils use cookie sale proceeds to provide essential services to troops, groups, and individual girls.
