Troop and Group Camping at Pokanoka: Girl Scout Camp Pokanoka is a very special 260 acre property located near Ottawa, Illinois. It is situated along the banks of the Illinois River and filled with acres of beautiful hardwood trees. It is the perfect location for troops and groups to experience the joy of nature in a secure and natural setting. Two troop houses are available during the winter months, complete with fireplaces and full kitchens. There are two “TABIN” units and two platform tent sites. A TABIN is part tent and part cabin and sleeps eight. Each platform tent sleeps four.
