GSTC is dedicated to ensuring that girls become productive, capable, competent members of their communities.
Through their Girl Scout experience, they learn career preparedness, civic responsibility and become individual with
strong character.

To support the many programs offered by GSTC, general support for operating expenses is essential. GSTC
maintains:

Camp Pokanoka (year-round facility) where girls and adults can learn and grow.

Training and personal growth opportunities for over 4,400 adult volunteers working with girls throughout
Trailways.
|
| • |
Membership assistance funds to ensure that all girls can take part in Girl Scouting regardless of their
personal circumstances.

| • |
Numerous outreach programs that take Girl Scouting to all girls, regardless of their ability to participate in
a traditional troop, and
|
| • |
A qualified and trained staff to provide support to more than 12,000 girl
members in Grundy, Kankakee and Will Counties, and Lemont in Cook County.
